Room was good but lock didn’t work, but was able to use metal door chain. Area around hotel not salubrious, need to get taxi to main shopping centre. Breakfast excellent and although quite expensive is value for money. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

The room was incredibly clean and spacious. We loved the amenities provided. (Hairdryer, ironing board and iron, glasses, tea/coffee, soaps etc) The breakfast was top notch and generous. The staff on check-in and in general were so polite and great at clarifying times for breakfast, bar and the pool. We used the pool on 2 nights of our stay and also loved it!! And being on Argyle Street we were only a few minutes away from the action of Glasgow at a very good price!! We loved it so much and have vowed to return!!

The reception staff was exceptional and even though they had a slight issue with the computer system they dealt with it professionally and kept everyone up to date! Room was fabulous too as was the breakfast! Definitely one of the better Marriott hotels with warm welcoming staff from reception to the restaurant team! Will be coming back again. Thank you!

My only two criticisms … the pool was a little bit awkward to get to, and with all the walking we did I would have REALLY appreciated a hot tub. Beyond that everything was wonderful, room was great and the staff were very helpful.

They're working on the hotel- and it shows. When i first went to my room the lights didn’t work and on the second day all the sockets had no power. Both issues were resolved quickly but an apology would have been nice. On top of that the lighting in the suite was limited- one lamp in each of the main rooms, no light by the desk etc made the rooms feel murky - it's Scotland in December and dark a large proportion of the time but that didn’t seem to be factored in. I hope this is still a case of being a work in progress, because at the moment it doesn't feel worth the cost. Also a number of items listed on expedia for the room (kettle, satellite tv etc) AREN'T provided so feels like false advertising
