The property itself was perfect! Nice easy to find area, nice and clean. I grew up in the North East so I know the area very well.
The only complaint I have is that I wasn't sent the code for the key safe, I had to ask the nice lady in the other unit how I could get inside, she had to phone the lady who cleans the unit and ask her what the code for the key safe was.... reflects badly on the owner! The phone number provided to contact the owner on Expedia didn't work at all, so it was useless!
Would I stay there again? Yes, but I would make damned sure I was provided with the code for the key safe before I went there.

Nice place to stay if exploring the North East corner. Very quiet town. Nothing there in the way of shops, so come prepared with supplies (food, etc). If you're a bit of a cook, you might want to bring a few basic implements including a decent saucepan and frypan. Good place to switch off from the outside world as phone reception is patchy and the TV is unwatchable due to poor signal. Definitely bring your own entertainment.

The property was very peaceful & had a great aircon as we arrived on a hot 30 deg day. Had all the ammenities you need, washing machine & cloths line.
Only thing wrong was the tv reception was not very good but someone told us it was the weather causing it. Comfy bed but no top sheet.

Inside this property was attractive , with a comfortable living area , TV seating , dining table and spacious kitchen. Comfortable main bed ( but the dreaded doona) . A washing machine, clothesline and dryer and a carport were other features. Good supply of crockery , limited pots for the full stove , which had an effective exhaust fan .
However the outside area is unattractive but Gladstone is a small remote town on the edge of the Mt William NP .
There were enough bath towels but no bathmat, tea towel or wash cloth. No extra toilet paper and a tiny amount provided . The General store is close by, luckily.
The second bedroom , which we did not need, is squishy and with no accessible storage.
The main bedroom had a doona but NO TOP SHEET - a particularly irritating practice in some places..
Water for drinking must be boiled or bring bottled water..
No internet.
However considering its location we were grateful for all it did offer.
