"I usually do not write bad reviews. We arrived at 3 pm, the owner was clearly bothered by our presence. He wanted to retain our Ids until the next day—a no go. The room had a temperature of 35 degrees and the a/c did not work. Our complaint was answered tha a/c only is available between 6pm and 5am. The hotel is situated in what looks like a war zone. "I have stayed here a number of times, never had a bad experience. The european breakfast is substantial. Convenience to train, historic sites, neighborhood restaurants, banking, even upscale retail is just minutes away. I actually look forward to returning, sincerely, I find it that convenient."

"Inexpensive at 63 Euros. Difficult to find on Waze. Need to call staff to check in who came in 5 minutes. Convenient to main pedestrian area. Steep stairs up from street. Room is rather tight fit with double bed. Nearby parking lot is free overnight but local hoods offer "protection". I paid them 3 Euros."
