"My husband and I stayed here for several nights on our honeymoon before the earthquake (we had extended our stay on Gili Meno but had moved to another hotel because Adeng Adeng was full). Overall our bungalow was lovely! It was spacious and clean and had a beautiful outdoor bathroom with a good shower. The light was good day and night and the decoration was thoughtful. The AC worked beautifully. There are only 5 bungalows spread out in a fairly large garden and it felt incredibly private to us....

"Gili Meno Garden Lodge is a simple but lovely hotel only a few minutes walk inland from the main drop off point on the beach. The facilities are basic and the bathrooms a little run down but the beds are big and comfortable. It is worth noting that the hotel is located quite close to the islands mosque and the loud speakers are clearly heard during prayer times, starting early in the morning. "First of all, we had a "sea view" cottage. But with no view of the sea. When I told a staffer that the AC wasn't working, he said "that's the way it's always been" The bathroom and shower were disgusting, with rusting handles for the shower, and the shower and the toilet in the same space. Towels were old and worn. And there was something on the floor that made it slippery; no idea what. This would be luxury accommodations only in Venezuela or North Korea, and maybe not the latter....
