A true hidden gem (not a cliche !)
Posted 23 Jul 2018 on HotelsJust a lovely, family run hotel - it was special from arrival to (reluctant) departure ! The rooms are big and comfortable (best hotel beds we've slept on for many a year) and the food (breakfast and dinner) was plentiful and delicious.
We did a cookery class there, followed by dinner of what we'd prepared, and we literally couldn't move afterwards !! :-)

Excellent Boutique Hotel
Posted 13 Apr 2018 on HotelsThis was a superb Boutique hotel in the centre of Sardinia. Located near to the Giara Plateau where you can easily spend a day walking with the chance of seeing some of the 600 semi wild horses. Also close for Barumini which has some interesting Archological sights.
The rooms are excellent and you must eat in this hotel as the quality is superb and excellent value. The host is very welcoming and helpful. If you want to experience a little of the real Sardinia then this is one of the places to stay.

Charming, Unique B&B - Highly Recommended
Posted 6 Apr 2018 on HotelsWe had a great stay in Domu Antiga - a wonderful B&B in a charming sleepy town. The owners were very welcoming - providing recommendations on the local area and answering any questions we had without being at all imposing. With only 4 rooms, this is a very quiet and tranquil place to stay. Our room, a converted cow barn, was one of a kind - both unique and comfortable. We enjoyed a cookery course during our stay, helping prepare a 5 course Sardinian Feast before sitting down to devour it all! Breakfast was also a daily highlight. A lovely break and highly recommended.

A fantastic and unique experience
Posted 23 Jun 2017Not only is this charming small hotel lovingly restored and tastefully decorated, staying here is an experience you will not forget.
Simple and elegant, there are antique
fabrics and handcrafts from the region throughout. Crisp white luxurious sheets on a very comfortable bed made for a lovely sleep. They serve an amazing full breakfast with local honey, jams, meats, cheeses and baked goods.
You also have the possibility of having a traditional dinner; five courses of heaven, complete with the owner playing Sardenian music for you.
The seating is out under stone arches in the garden courtyard near a lemon tree and grape arbor. Guests were from all over the world. The hotel is a family business run with graciousness and attention to every detail. It is close to very good rock climbing and the world heritage site of Su Nuraxi Nuraghes of Barrumini. They also offer tours to a waterfall, kayaking on a lake and cooking lessons. We also enjoyed the serene and tranquil garden before dinner. We highly recommend and would love to return one day. Bravo!

Authentic stay at a charming B&B
Posted 27 May 2016Our night here was our favorite of our stay. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and simply adorable. The inner courtyard which functions as a relaxing common area is lovely and inviting. The family which runs the B&B is wonderful. Breakfast was great, but miss out on the exquisite homemade dinner for $25 per person. They don't take credit cards so bring cash.
