We had a great stay and would recommend this property. Great weekend in Georgetown. Walked to all the shops and restaurants.

Very clean-easy check in and out. Lots of parking. Very easy walk to downtown. Would come back

Friendly, clean with free beer 😊 what more could you ask for 😊 really enjoyed our stay. Close to town centre, historic property, friendly atmosphere with guests getting together over a beer in the sitting area. Thanks and will definitely be back 😊

Great location, just a couple of blocks from Front Street shops, museums, and restaurants. Please note that the rooms DO NOT have private baths. Three bedrooms share 2 bathrooms. The breakfast is basically coffee from a Keurig and bagged snacks. Though clean, the place could use some sprucing up and decluttering

Thank you for your recent review of Baxter's Brewhouse Inn. Thank you for the excellent rating for cleanliness as we strive to create a clean environment for our guests. We are South Carolina's First and only Bed and Brew. and we feel that breakfast is overrated, because who wants boring eggs. What we do make is some of the best Beer in South Carolina in a very unique and intimate experience. The good news is that Beer is not just for breakfast anymore. Guests get to self pour from the taps any time of day. From your rating and the emphasis of the DO NOT have private baths, it appears that you will not be returning as you may not have really read our full description that states two times that it is a European Style Setup. We always want individuals to feel comfortable and enjoy their stay and experience in our amazing little town. Cheers, Joseph

The property was unkempt outside. Common area furniture was old and interior was disheveled. The owner checked people in at 1AM and they were right outside our room talking loudly for 30 minutes and making noise while lugging luggage up the stairs til 2:30AM. We decided to leave a day early.

Paul, Thank you for your recent review of Baxter's Brewhouse Inn. We understand that everyone has their own personal opinion of a stay with us, but felt that this one was a little unfair.We do have a landscaper that does service the house about every two weeks and addresses the lawn, so we're not really sure about what part looked unkempt. The Inn is filled with antiques that not only look old, but are old. We have a Flat Grand Piano that dates back to the early 1900's as the Inn was built in 1908. We prefer to continue to keep the classic ambiance, instead of updating to a more modern look, and feel that our guests appreciate that feeling of being at home.I did personally check a guest in at 1AM. Sometimes long trips end up that instead of arriving at 7PM, as intended, arriving at a much later time. We usually do everything in our power, to try and check individuals in, so that they understand the Inn, and we answer any questions. Pouring a beer at check in, and quietly talking in the beer parlour downstairs, is much different than standing in the breakfast foyer outside a guests room. Everyone's experiences are different and the other guest, staying the same night, didn't hear anything at all. Our apologies if other guests disturbed you while they were moving their luggage into the Inn.Overall, we ask, that if a guest does have an issue at the Inn, to address it with us immediately. I'm not sure why you would just check out the next day without saying anything to us before checking out. Bless your heart, Joseph

Been to Georgetown many times but first time at this property. I don't drink but the Roit beer sida was great.
I will be back and with friends.
So relaxing 😌

We enjoyed a quiet night in a lovely house! We were just a block from the river which was very nice and right in the middle of the beautiful historic district. So thankful we found this place and do plan to return, but not on a Sunday as most of the businesses and museums were closed.

Georgetown is a small town USA and Front Street has a few stores and shops that are open on Sunday, but for the most part, Sunday is a little bit more laid back. Very nice B &B room and common area. Three rooms share bathroom. This was a surprise to us, as it was not spelled out in the listing.

Our European Style Setup consists of three bedrooms that share two bathrooms in the upstairs portion of our historic 1908 house. I did review Travelocity and it does state very clearly under bathroom, under room amenities, shared bathroom. Please make sure to review unique properties like ours, with a little more attention to detail, to not be surprised in the future.Cheers, Joseph
