Clean bed linen. Staff not inviting when we walked in. We had to wish the Indian lady instead of shewelcoming us

The female receptionist is unfriendly and gossips about other guests. She did this in front of me. thinking I couldn't understand Mandarin. I used to like this hotel a lot and would stay here every time I came to Penang. That was when they had the younger, friendlier staff. Now I'll just take my business elsewhere, as there are plenty of hotels in this area.

The sound proof system was bad... Can clearly hear whats happening the next door or outside

Good location but the room I stayed was not upto to the mark. Though a single room, it's super small with hardly any space to move around. A small table without a char; no place to keep your luggage or clothes. No complimentary water bottle, tea / coffee or tissue paper. There was water dispenser near the reception but no glass was provided to fetch water. The bathroom was OK. No separate soap but shower gel and shampoo were provided. Though the price of the room is quite competitive, there's hardly any amenities to justify the merits of a good hotel. I presume the owner will provide some basic amenities as complimentary so that the guests will have a better experience. Overall, not a pleasant experience.

I spent 7 days at the Link Hotel.
Pin and Jenny the receptionists were wonderful. VERY helpful, lovely and super attentive.
I found the room quite small & not suitable to sleep with a/c on - but that may just be me. I was out all day and really only there to sleep. The room was really clean and bathroom great.
After a long day it would have been nice to have a common/lounge room to go relax in rather than a box size room.
Good water machines in the hall to fill bottles or drink tea/coffee.
I found the area fun as not in touristy area. Great Hawkers & food in street nearby, local feel.
Once you spot the Komtar building, as its so high its easy to navigate round the streets.
Buses 2 mins from hotel.
All in all a great stay at the Link Hotel.
