Comfy for a short stay
Posted 12 May 2023 on HotelsOur host was very friendly and accommodating, we arrived during load shedding and after check-in time! It’s in a good location too.
Load shedding affects this area for 2-4 hours in the evening and quite often overnight - there is no generator but they do leave the portable lights in your room for when this happens.
Breakfast was really nice too!

Garden route stop over en route to Durban
Posted 14 Mar 2023 on HotelsUnfamiliar with the terrain, our hosts were accommodating with our very late check in. We spent the night and got a good nights rest before we continued our journey.
The property felt like a home away from home. Beautiful garden, bathrooms and a delicious freshly made breakfast. Rooms were spacious with a pool outside our doorstep. Excellent hosts make for excellent stays. Thank you for allowing us to share your home.

Disorganized management
Posted 16 Jan 2023 on HotelsWhen we arrived, the hotel was surprised we were there. Turns out, they allowed someone else to check in on our reservation. We had booked the nicest room available and instead had to accept a much smaller room in a poor location. We were promised a refund for the difference in room rates. More than a week later, that has still not been received. The adapters for the power outlets did not work and there was a cockroach in the room. There is no on site management.
Disappointing experience from start to finish.

Unfortunately, there was a mix up with room allocation which we accept and apologized for. We would have happily rectified this for you if you had arrived during normal check in times or had advised us of a much later check in time. With regards a refund, you booked single occupancy but arrived as a couple. Please do refer to your booking in this regard.The room that was allocated to you is very popular with many of our guests as it opens upon a patio that leads to the garden. That you were disappointed is disappointing.With regards to cockroachs, that's a first!!

Stunning house and room
Posted 12 Feb 2020 on HotelsBeautiful room in a beautiful house. Lovely owners. Breakfast was OK but no bacon on offer. Cleaning was OK but my bathroom wasn’t cleaned while I was there (2 nights)

With regards our breakfast on offer, true, we do not offer bacon as indicated on our website - but we do offer pastrami, sausages and other cold meats. We do our best to cater breakfast to your individual needs.
I do apologize for your bathroom not being cleaned during your stay. I will be sure to address it with the staff in question.
