We recently stayed at Dusit Thani Maldives and had an exceptional experience that truly stands out, even among other five-star island resorts. We booked the Over Water Villa with Pool, which we highly recommend for its generous layout, serene privacy, and direct access to the house reef. From the moment we arrived, we were in excellent hands with our butler, Mona (Gulnoza). She was incredibly responsive, reliable, and proactive—anticipating needs before we voiced them and ensuring every detail of our stay was seamless. Dining was a highlight. The Sea Grill restaurant impressed us with both its culinary finesse and hospitality. A special mention to the grill chef whose skills elevated every dish, and to Slyp (Mohamed) for his exceptional service—warm, attentive, and consistently professional. We also had the pleasure of dining at Benjarong, Dusit Thani’s signature Thai restaurant, led by Rungnapa. Her deep knowledge of food and beverage, coupled with an evident passion for genuine hospitality, made each visit memorable. She’s a standout professional in every sense. Lastly, breakfast at The Market was a daily delight. While the variety and freshness of offerings were excellent, what made it even better was the gracious service from Shahina and Ahmed—always welcoming, efficient, and personable."

I’ve traveled to many countries and stayed at various hotels and resorts, but I can confidently say this experience sets a new standard — offering a level of luxury and uniqueness that’s truly unforgettable. We were warmly welcomed by our personal concierge, Poula, who went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. He and his team arranged a stunning private dinner setup and helped us book an incredible professional photographer. We ended up purchasing two albums because we simply couldn’t choose from all the amazing photos. This place gave us the perfect balance of peace and adventure. We originally came to celebrate our anniversary but were gifted a once-in-a-lifetime experience we will never forget. I’ll definitely miss this place and can’t wait to return with my family."

"I was here previously, decided to come for a 20 day stay to recharge.. They really let the place go downhill in every way. I felt like I was doing a spotting job rather than having a vacation especially the first week.simple things like painting rusted things all over the island. Not clearing garbage that washes onto the beach, which I and other guests would put up high on the beach figuring they did a walk around daily. No, same garbage was not even noticed because the management doesn't care. I made my complaints and was told that some quality control expert was coming and they would have the island in shape by December. Lot of good that did me momentarily.it was things that were not even hard to do, simply there was no will. And it wasn't the staff, it's management..Actually had by chance the same room from years ago and saw the same issues not attended to. The food was also low quality, I avoided breakfast, out of 19 nights, maybe 5 breakfasts. Any juices put out we're heavy sugar and they spared every expense. Not a banana in sight the last 10 days of my stay.. I offered to gladly do a walk with the general manager and show him how to fix the place up in a matter of days with staff on hand. Didn't care.. then there is the smoking. Staff quarters are close and obviously no one is told to go to a further section of the small island to smoke. When you're out taking the air on a walk it's not pleasant to suck in a huge amount of smoke. Much more. Bye Dfaru. Disappointed "
