The Sea Breeze is a beautiful and well run place. Fred, the owner, greets you with warmth and it feels like you’ve are a long awaited guest when you walk through the door. There were so many special things waiting for you when you arrive; a glass of wine, fresh fruit, snacks, even fresh cut roses in your room. All of it was done in a professional and caring way. Then there is the rooms themselves. Comfy bed with beautiful linens, a beautiful bathroom with high end finishing a, even a towel warmer! We were on the top floor and our skylights even opened to enjoy the fresh air!
If I ever return to Galway I would not hesitate to stay at the Sea Breeze again.

Immaculate and convenient!!
Posted 18 Mar 2023 on HotelsThe Seabreeze Lodge is immaculate! The owner couldn’t have been more accommodating! The breakfast was excellent with homemade pastries and hot food to order. The location on Salthill was convenient to Galway Bay and the city. We highly recommend!

We had a lovely experience at the Sea Breeze Lodge! Excellent hospitality. We enjoyed the extra touches to our room including fresh fruit and flowers, snacks and complimentary water and soft drinks. Very clean and well maintained. Breakfasts were also fantastic. We would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Galway overnight!

The property is beautiful. It's everything you expect from a well-run B&B at a very reasonable price. Very easy taxi ride into downtown.

If you’re looking for a place where the personal preferences and schedule of the innkeeper take priority over your holiday, this is the place for you. The property communicated that check-in was from 4 to 7, and that to check in later would cost an additional 60 euros. However, we were travelling from the south with plans to spend a little time in Killarney National Park, as well as a stop at the Cliffs of Moher. We just could not make the deadline without altering our plans. He left our key taped to the front door. When we went downstairs the next morning for breakfast, we were greeted by our disgruntled innkeeper. He confronted us, actually. In the hearing of some of the other guests. Rather than welcoming us to his B&B, he said, “Well, it’s the Late Arrivers,” as though that were our name. Then, “I sent you an email 7 days ago letting you know to arrive before 7 pm.” Then he paused, waiting for an explanation. We stood there in stunned silence for about 3 seconds not knowing what to even say. He then gave us body language that said he was waiting for an answer. I told him “We couldn’t make it” and then moved past him. We literally felt scolded by this man as though we were school-aged children that needed to be corrected. How this inhospitable man made his way into the hospitality industry is a mystery. We are both 60 now, so we’ve done quite a bit of travelling through the years. But this rude experience puts this place in the bottom 5 worst experiences of all time.

Sea breeze serenity
Posted 13 Aug 2022 on HotelsThis is a spacious, well appointed, beautifully maintained guest house with all the comforts of home. The gracious, accommodating host has thought of everything. Our room was sparkling clean, beds were comfy, bath was luxuriously new and spacious, all with a lovely water view our large windows. 10/10!
