Convenient location, easy drive to boardwalk waterfront and historic downtown. Altho nothing next to this property, we rented a car so not a problem. Plenty of parking. Didn't get dishes first nite we stayed, but had a workaround for mealtime. Room was a bit crowded but a good layout and amenities. Would stay again.

Did not get to stay even though i paid in advance . I was not notified in advanced that there were no rooms available because of overbooking. Had to find another place to stay. Had to spend extra money. I would like my refund in full please.

The rooms where small & dirty. The bed was like sleeping on a box spring instead of a mattress. The front desk was very helpful. But we will not stay at another Motel 6 if they are all like this. The shower pressure was like a very light rain.

The rooms weren't clean. period. I was given a room with made beds with food under the bed cover. Horrible !! Switch rooms and that room jad dirty towels under the sink area.

This property a bit shady area. Not all room has a full fridge and it doesn’t say that in their description so I suggest you make sure you request for one upon your reservation. That was the only reason we booked this place because of a full fridge. We also asked to be on first level and they didn’t put a note in it like the said they would. Staff was friendly but other then that everything else was at or below mediocre.

It's unfortunate that I have to write this review, but it was that bad, our reservation was from 6/16-6/18. 1-We check-in Friday 6/16 at 7pm and go out. 2-We get back and find 2 roaches in the bedroom, one by the bed and one by the bathroom. 3-Front desk tell us that manager will be there tomorrow and she will give her the message. 4-I call the next day to confirm the cancellation. 5-Cancellation was never made and I never got a refund. 6-Called the Hotel and now the manager is on vacations and no one else can issue the refund in a week. 7-Had to call my bank to dispute the charges and get our money back. Very disappointing service, would not recommend to anyone.

Awful !!!
The most awful experience in our life was in Motel | Studio 6 Galveston. First problem at this hotel we got was when the lady at the front desk withdrew money from the card even though they have records that we prepaid room through hotels.com.  Second. The sink draw didn't work. When the next day the plumber came, he just closed the water and told us not to use this sink. That is all he made. No fixing or no try. Third, there was an electric outage and no AC worked at the hotel. All other hotels had electricity - even at the same street, but not Hotel 6 Galveston. We asked several times, and the manager promised to fix everything, but without results. So after spending a night in the heat with the door open due the high temperature and without any light we decided to move to another hotel, Red Roof. It was a wonderful hotel compared to this awful Motel 6.  Fourth. We lived there almost a week - and no one even gave us clean towels or sheets.  Fifth. We spent 5 days receiving refunds of money from Hotels. com - because Motel \ Studio 6 got money twice, and we spent three days to get back money from Motel 6 after we left it because they didn't have electricity. Every day, sometimes twice a day we had to talk with the manager of this awful place before something happened.  Never, never stay there! Choose another motel even if it will be more expensive - in this one they will get your money twice and will never give you any service at all. Stay away from this place!
