Check in was friendly enough. The outdoor/parking area was poorly maintained and bad shape. The room was clean but very run down. The toilet was not securely attached to the floor and the TV would not turn on.in general, a poorly kept old property.

The property dates from Route 66 days, and looks every bit its age. I was expecting the worst, but the room, dated though it was, was clean and comfortable. Shower and bathroom old but good. The TV turned on but all channels were unwatchable because of snowy screen. AC unit worked very well. Room quiet except for train tracks on other side of road. The area itself is very very poor but walkable...I walked three blocks for excellent Mexican food. But the town has seen better days so it can be unsettling.
Recommended though if you need a good night rest at good price.

The clerk was extremely nice and explained why the charge does not show up on the receipt when you use Expedia or other third party sites.

Towels in poor shape, shower did not work properly, ceiling in bathroom fall particles & had a tooth brush up above the mirror in the bathroom, and an unpleasant smell to the entire room. No AC or Heat control. Noisy fan in the bathroom.
The beds seemed clean. Breakfast food was fine with waffles, muffins, cinnamon toast.
