"It hurts to give middling ratings. The staff and mgmt were friendly and helpful (eg, they gave me a room close to the reception check-in, they provided transport to the train station when no other option was available). The problem is while the crew might be good they need to run a tighter ship, The property is showing its age, it’s up the hill from the town and is oriented to large groups. As a solo, shoulder season guest, we, the few, are lost in the cracks of pre-season prep. "

"We had rented the apartment and it was very nice, clean and cosy. Fortunately we did not have to cook nor eat onsite because it is really not equipped to do any kind of cooking. Maybe a trashcan in the kitchen could be useful also? Beyond this, the breakfast was nice and staff very friendly. We had just a big issue when checking out where they wanted us to pay 179 EUR for cleaning and other fees... it was 99 80 and I did not understand what it was for. I showed them that we had already paid...

"Hotel very conveniently placed for the town and harbour, all walkable. Has it`s own private parking which is essential for the area. Room was clean, air conditioned, and the harbour view was wonderful. Great pool and poolside bar. Restaurant was very good, which was fortunate as most restaurants in town close on Mondays. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only very slight criticism would be that the beds are a bit hard."

Would be great that at time of arrival more information about activities that take place, like horse riding. "Wonderfully relaxing property. A little oasis on the outskirts of Ugento. Staff very attentive to everything we asked for and organized activities for us, particularly the excellent cooking classes at the nearby Castello di Ugento. Oh and the dinner in the Castello was also excellent! We had a wonderful time and recommend the property to anyone looking for a quick relaxing escape in Puglia. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Puglia!"
