Excellent hotel, very spacious. The only difficulty is language, as an international 5 star hotel there needs to be some more staff that have a better understanding of English.

Fabulous accommodation near exhibition centre
Posted 30 Dec 2017
Pros: Stunning exhibition of sculptures throughout the spacious reception area
Cons: Have some tour information for solo tourists who have a day or so to use.
Location: Apart from the Top 10 of Fuzhou, the hotel itself has a lovely indoor and outdoor pool, gym, buffet, and bar area.
Fuzhou in Fujian province is a services hub city (no heavy industry). Chinese tourists are attracted to seaside areas in this province but as yet city tourism is limited for the 'foreign' English-speaking visitor. The Sheraton is on the edge of the city in the conference/ exhibition centre area. It is not close to any attractions, but is in a space that permits a sense of relaxation in this big busy city. Tourism is emerging here. There are no city tour brochures or tour information in the hotel or anywhere else - you need to organise private tours beforehand or do it yourself - staff at reception kindly gave me a map of the city (in Chinese) - together with my own internet information this provided highlights to visit that could be easily reached by taxi ride between 30-60 minutes (pending traffic). The doorman wrote in Chinese the destination and took the registration number of the taxi - they are not expensive - suggest you organise a pick up point and time for the return journey because it is to get a taxi ride back. Highlights are the 'five lanes and seven alleys' an historic area that has upmarket lacquer and art as well as tourist trinkets and all kinds of food. Nearby the white tower and centre park and many local streets to wander. There are two sides to 'Drum Mountain' - on one is the temple which is great on the other tea planation. Fuzhou is famous for fish ball soup (surprise is there us meat in the balls) and light broth noodles as well as fish varieties.

Excellent, but not in city centre
Posted 1 May 2017 on HotelsThe hotel is excellent in everything, but it is not near the town centre and it does not have any shops nearby, so you need to buy you own food from the city centre if you are not prepared to sponsor their restaurants. After all, it is value for money

Most poorly maintained Sheraton
Posted 6 Nov 2016 on HotelsPoor customer service and room maintenance: no bellboy for bags, had to change rooms middle of the night due to malfunctioned aircon (after waiting for 30 minutes for someone to come check and listening to multiple excuses), and a 35 minute checkout at 5.30am when there was only 1 other customer checking out

Pros: Spa - Sauna - Room confortable
Cons: The buffet... very disappointed for a 5 star Hotel...
Location: The hotel is far from the center. But for business trip it's perfect.
Convenient to go to exhibition center.
All is available in this hotel.
The staff is very helpful.
