Close to Old town with corner shops, restaurants and tour booking office. Walkable from major bus routes. Breakfast is decent, continental with option of cheese and ham or scrambled egg. Accommodation is in the original house or another building across the road. No aircon or central heating but we didn't miss that during the shoulder season.

Lovely welcome and breakfast. The rooms are clean and excellent value for the money. We would stay there again, Umberto is a great host who looks after his guests

The host and his father made the stay more personal, welcoming and inviting. They took a personal interest in their guests. They added greatly to my stay. My room was clean and serviced daily. The area was conveniently located for tourist services and needs- food, supermarket, sights, airport bus, etc. Any limitations connected to the room related to this being an older building- smaller room, smaller bathroom, limited electrical plug-ins, no elevator- and could be expected in a character building such as this. The biggest limitation for the area was its proximity to a road- carrying a moderate amount of traffic and pedestrians- which had no sidewalks or shoulder. Stepping out of the unit meant stepping directly onto the road. For an older person- such as me- it was the least enjoyable part of my day getting to/from the accommodation. Obviously this was outside of the managements control.

I stayed for six nights - an older, solo traveler. I was greeted warmly by the owners, and I found all the staff members I had contact with to be friendly, helpful, and informative. I also found the other guests to be cheerful and interesting, no doubt an outgrowth of Pensao Mirasol's atmosphere, when we interacted in the dining area. I'll stay there again the next time I'm in Funchal.

Absolut charmantes Hotel unweit von der Seilbahn zum Monte. Das Haus wird von den Inhabern verwaltet und geführt. Herzlichkeit und familiäre Atmosphäre stehen im Mittelpunkt des Aufenthalts. Ein Inselaufenthalt in einem alten, wunderschönem Haus mit Holztreppen und wenigen Zimmern, kann ich sehr empfehlen. Zum Frühstück gibt es auf Wunsch frisches Rührei. Vom Balkon aus konnte ich Meer und Hafen sehen. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Aufenthalt. Ein bisschen, wie zu Hause.

Diese Unterkunft müsste dringend renoviert werden, die Zimmer sind für einfachste Ansprüche ,ohne jeglichen Komfort ,zum Frühstück konnte man sich aussuchen , ob man entweder 2 Scheiben Käse oder Wurst oder aber 2 Spiegeleier haben möchte, der Gastgeber und sein deutschsprechender Sohn waren aber sehr hilfsbereit.

Dans un premier temps, je veux remercier tout le personnel en passant des parents à leur fils et les autres dames du ménage. Depuis le premier jour, je me suis sentie bien accueillie et bien renseigner sur des activités, marchés,etc. Je suis venue en voyage seule et à aucun moment je l'ai sentie. Les matins j'avais le droit de.mettre de l'eau au frais, d'aller le prendre et d'échanger rapidement avec le senior (proprio) des lieux. Une douceur infinie cet homme. Sa femme était plus gênée toutefois elle a réussi a faire des merveilles avec toute ses fleurs dans la place. En soirée, le fils était toujours présent avec son sourire chaleureux, son petit rire, sa connaissance de 7 langues et son soucis que je sois bien rentrée comme un vrai ami! Donc voilà, je suis à peine partie que je désire déjà revenir voir l'île et revoir mes nouveaux amis!

Televisão sem comando .. pedi na recepção a televisão não funciona. Precisei de sair às quatro da manhã por motivos pessoais o recepcionista estava a dormir num sofá …a acordou com o sinalizador sonoro la instalado e veio me exigir que lhe entregasse as chaves do quarto e da porta de acessio a entrada …. Um serviço pouco profissional excessivo na relação preço /qualidade

Un établissement dans une rue calme, idéalement placé pour visiter le centre-ville à pieds. Un accueil familial chaleureux, le gérant parle plusieurs langues, dont le français et l’anglais, et se montre disponible pour les conseils et l’aide à la location d’un véhicule. C'était la première fois que nous sommes allés à Madère, nous avons été surpris de la gentillesse des gens. Surtout Umberto de chez Mirasol, très à l'écoute, d'une serviabilité exemplaire. Hotel idéal.
Merveilleuse adresse pour séjourner à Madère. Accueil très chaleureux et très attentionné d'Umberto de son père et du personnel. Cet établissement est confortable, silencieux et très bien situé par rapport au vieux Funchal. Possibilité de garer sa voiture au garage de l'hotel. Allez y les yeux fermés !

The owners/managers are very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. The place needs a bit of refurbishment, the beds are not super comfy and in general it looks a bit tired. We were not spending any time in the room as we were hiking and joining other activities, so it was fine for us. I would not stay for more than a couple of days.

Quando le persone fanno la differenza!!! E' una pensione economica ma che riesce, grazie alla cortesia e disponibilità del personale (conduzione famigliare per lo più), Umberto e Joau in primis, ad offrire quanto promesso. Non e' il Ritz, ma a questo prezzo chi lo cerca? Posizione eccezione e strategica che consente di andare ovunque senza macchina. La prima impressione inganna sicuramente: e' un posto che va conosciuto ed apprezzato insieme al suo squisito personale. Bravi!
