Beautiful design, nice view, garden, very quiet, in the middle of old city near old castle. Everything was nice. Recommend.

In a way I was disappointed because I was told that there is a good bus service to nearby towns, which I found to be totally untrue. If I was aware of this we would have rented a self drive car. We spent a lot of money on taxis which are very expensive. Another negative thing was that since it is not the peak of the tourism season, most of the establishments like restaurants were closed. One cannot find anything to eat before 8.00pm. I did some research before but I did not find a lot of information on this area.

Interesting experience in medieval hill top town

Pros: The very nice and helpful staff.
Cons: The hotel owners need to inform patrons about the problems associated with the isolated location of the town and hotel & the lack of transport & shops
Location: There are no activities. Taking a walk is difficult because of the steep terrain. The two main local restaurants are excellent.
This small hotel is located in the medieval hill top town of Fumone some 75 K south of Rome. 800 years ago several Popes lived in the local castle probably for security or defensive reasons.
The hotel is small with about 12 bedrooms. The views are spectacular.
There is a need to carefully plan your trip to this hotel and town. A vehicle is essential. This is because there are no buses or taxis and the road up to the town is long (about 3 K) and very steep. There are no supermarkets to buy food supplies just restaurants and gift shops.
The hotel is managed by staff at breakfast plus a cleaning lady. Therefore you need to communicate well ahead about detailed times of your arrival.

Ogni angolo è una sorpresa.
Pulizia e cortesia sono veramente notevoli.
Esperienza da rifare, magari usufruendo dei servizi SPA.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo la spa stupenda e molto carina ad uso esclusivo con tisane caffè , le camere pulitissime e comode .

Situé dans un magnifique petit village médiéval. Petit hébergement parfait dans ce lieu unique. Personnel attentionné.
