I liked the character and the architecture of the hotel. My favorite was sitting in the courtyard in the morning drinking coffee.

It was a nice hotel in the Quarter. Many things around. It’s not quiet which is expected. Loved it. The only negative I have to say is the ac in the room couldn’t have been working properly. Room stayed warm.

Staff were friendly, location nice but first day we had to switch rooms as almost nothing worked in the room electrically. Our other room was nicer but not that quiet, previous leak in ceiling with something growing on it, and air conditioning was not very cool. Would definitely not stay again.

Checked in and all went downhill from there. Wife took nap and woke up to a flooded room from the rain. We moved to another room at 1030 pm. Next morning woke up to room 80 degrees and no ac working. Notified staff and engineer was to look at it. Never heard from them. Get back after 8 pm and unfixable problem and had to move rooms again. Was given free night of parking and free breakfast for our troubles.. overall didn’t seem concerned.

The property was beautiful, situated right between Royal and Bourbon St. It's a great location for travelers wanting to spend a lot of time on Bourbon St. exploring the numerous bars, clubs, restaurants, and more adult themed activities. I actually didn't realize how close it was, and would have probably preferred to stay a little bit further from the activity since I've already spent quite a bit of time in New Orleans, but that's totally not the hotel's fault. It's still really convenient for walking to Decatur, the shops at the old Jax brewery, or pretty much anything in the French Quarter. The staff was courteous and professional. We checked in a couple of hours early on a Saturday, and they were able to accommodate. Similarly, our departing flight wasn't until later on the evening of checkout, but they kept our bags for us and set up airport transportation for that evening so we weren't stuck at the airport all day. The rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable beds and quality bedding. The shower had great water pressure and was hot and relaxing. The only negative experience that we had was a loud group of drunk people screaming in the courtyard late on Saturday night for about 20 minutes. It was no big deal though, and probably to be expected as close as it is to Bourbon St. All in all, it was a great stay and we had a wonderful time while we were there.

The parking situation should be better explained upfront before arriving as we were not aware that there was a designated place for hotel guests to pull in off of Bienville Street. We parked on the side of the road as far over as we could to go inside and request a valet. It was a bit stressful with cars behind trying to get by.

Hotel was very unique, rooms were very nice, staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking is very expensive but valet is the only way to go. Enjoyed our stay very much and would return again.

There are a ton of positives and no negatives. Free bottled water. No gimmics. Location was just off of but on street and next to a ton of fun stuff in the quarter. Staff were outstanding. We got some amazing recommendations from Sonja. Try out Felix oyster bar. Right down Burbon. And the rooms were nice and clean. You can’t expect silent next to Burbon street, but it was charming and reasonable. And for the price, not a complaint. I look forward to going back and staying there.
