A not so lovely get away
Posted 16 Aug 2018 on HotelsThe tom was ok. Below normal hotel standard. The “spa” area had som sort of bug or flea, so we had to leave the pool. Our room was on the second floor, and the people on the first floor were smoking at the smell came straight into our room. Also we could hear absolutely everything they said. We ordered one beer and one chocolate. By chech out the bill was on 200 kr. A ridiculous amount for a drink and piece of chocolate. Also there were extra costs on the ferry and for parking by the ferry. The parking cost is a lot more expensive than what the hotel says on their website.
Norway is beautiful, and the cost is beautiful. I would recommend staying somewhere else than hankø.

Overall a nice spot with a few concerns.

The boat shuttle needed to get to the island charges for each trip taken, the parking next to the dock costs, we were told there was laundry services but they had none and the mattresses on the beds were very thin and a bit uncomfortable.

Dear Carol. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. In all info we inform that the parking and ferry costs money as any other transport. We have checked all pages concerning our hotel and can not find anywhere that says we have laundry service on the island. Coulc you pls advise where you have read this? Concerning the hardness of our beds we have extra top mattresses that we give guests that prefer soft beds. Hope to see you again some time.
