Be one with nature while you nurture your soul.
Posted 12 Mar 2024 on HotelsIf the photos of the place look good to you then you will love this place. If you own a pair of Birkenstocks and enjoy seeing hummingbirds you will have a great visit.
Had a great time at the Inn and went snorkeling right at the bottom of the driveway. We had a room with no AC and just listened to the wildlife all night. Wonderful!

A beautiful property on a beautiful island
Posted 28 Feb 2024 on HotelsThe hosts of the property did an excellent job of adding modern conveniences to a rustic property, which is part of the overall charm of this beautiful island. I would highly recommend staying here if you're considering St. Croix as a vacation destination. You will probably not want to leave!

I find it difficult to capture the foreign untamed beauty and re-imagined historical site with words. The unique, calm and gentle intimacy with the rainforest was our first taste here, followed by a humbling and powerful downpour. In the great wonder and beauty from the pervasive jungle and powerful storm, we felt our trouble shrink and nature grow, swirling around our room. The morning greeted us with new excitement, starting with the incredible view of the ocean and bright joyful flowers. The brilliant clear skies lit an almost forgotten time, resolute and worn by nature, we explored the re-purposed plantation. The main house stands proud and positioned to over look the front of the property. Its walls seemed ready to withstand every unexpected storm. The stacked stones were beautiful and large surrounded by eager and fertile plants, determined to take back the land from its first settlers. The owners took great care to tend to the plants and animals of their property in ways that balanced utility, beauty, and respect. A great example beyond just vision, was the breakfast. All together, the guests here ate and talked kindly together for our homemade and locally sourced meal. I'd never tried vegan food besides whatever is available in a plastic wrapper at the store. This was the best breakfast I had on the island. As we neared the final bites of our meal, one of the owners told us of the history, biology, and passion that existed here. Don't miss this brilliant experience.

It was perfect. Just what we wanted. If you are looking for a quiet place away from the noise then this is it. When your day of being out and about is done it is perfect to come back to and enjoy a nice sunset. Owners of the property were there to answer questions and were very helpful.
Would stay again and hopefully will be back in the future.

This is our second time to St. Croix and we are so excited that we chose the Feather Leaf Inn this time. Staying at the Dragonfly house, we woke up to the sound of the water crashing every morning and went to bed with picture-perfect sunset for 4 days. No light pollution from the town or streets, just the stars, and the ocean. The rooms are big with plenty of space to hang and fold clothes for 4 people. The view from the balcony is amazing and the hammock makes it better. Lots off The kitchen has everything you need for a home-cooked meal or just a sundowner after a long day of exploring. It's a short walk or drive to rainbow beach with amazing snorkeling. We will be back here again.

Unique
Posted 1 Apr 2022 on HotelsA rather interesting hotel for a Caribbean vacation. Not on the beach and I realized I would have preferred beachfront accommodations. Coffee was served in mornings but no other food or drink was available. Pool was small but adequate. Room was nice but I would not stay again as I said I go to the Caribbean for the water and want to be on the water.

Every once in awhile a guest books our inn who is looking for something completely different. We are not an all inclusive beachfront resort, nor do we advertise to be. But if you’d like to get away from it all and wake up to the sounds of the sea and watch the sunset over the Caribbean while being immersed in nature, this may be the place for you. Our buildings date back to the 18th Century and have been lovingly restored. No two rooms are the same. If you’d like to go snorkeling, we’re happy to lend you gear and you can get into the bay right in front of the inn (our 19 acres extends from the forrest to the coastline). Our rooms don’t have televisions in them (though we have great wifi). Our small, salt-water pool is a gorgeous place to cool off next to the fountain and with views to the ocean. For longer swims you can walk down to the warm Caribbean waters where we regularly see hawksbill and green sea turtles. And if you’d like a beautiful sandy beach you can walk, use our complementary bicycles or drive just a half mile down the road.
