The idea behind this B&B is quaint, but the execution and upkeep are severely lacking. The area is a rundown neighborhood. Our cottage was very small, dirty, and not kept up to support the high price. Breakfast was cold cuts, bread, and hard boiled eggs. Again, not what one would expect at this price point. Would not recommend staying here.

The cabin is really cute, but was not clean. The bathroom had cobwebs, mouse droppings & a roach. We came back from dinner and the air conditioner was turned off because we were "wasting electricity". It was cool outside, but stuffy inside. Cute idea, but would not recommend for the price we paid.

There is an instruction sheet in the cottage that says not to switch the AC on when you are gone all day because it cools fast when you come back.It was a cold day and this guest had the AC on while gone. I switched it off from the outside.Late at night I get a call from him about the AC. I ask him if he really needs it, he said "yes" and I went out in the cold and heavy rain and switched it back on.

Quaint little cottage with lots of unique touches! A nice breakfast on the porch in a quiet and tree lined setting.

Quaint little place tucked away in Fredericksburg Only about 7 miles into town. This B & B has 4 cottages and we stayed in the Rumplestilzken cottage with a little loft ahove with an extra bed, really cute and cozy. I didn’t care for the daily breakfast of fruit, cold slices, cheese, bread and hard boiled eggs- one day of 3 would have been fine but I was hoping for a hot breakfast. A fan to use in the bed area would be nice also as it got a little warm in there at night. They have a few fire pits with chairs around the property to hang out as well. Overall it’s cute and we would stay again:)

This was such a fun and memorable girl trip for me and my friend. Henry greeted us upon arrival and showed us to our cottage. He gave us a little history on this quaint German influenced part of Texas, and shared a portion of his personal story (which we found touching). We loved our little Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs cottage. Cozy, whimsical and the breakfast basket each morning on the patio was adorable! This would be a great place to have a family reunion and take in all the history around the area. Thanks again, Henry and Barbara!!

A charming German escape in historic Texas. Coming back to the cottage each day was a warm, comforting retreat from the world. The landlords are wonderful and welcoming. We’re coming back.

This property was absolutely unique! The owners (only got to meet the husband) but no less was very welcoming, explained how things worked (my first B&B) the breakfast every morning was so yummy! The lighting of the property in the evenings was so nice. The cottages themselves, were so detailed, up to the welcoming chocolates & bottle of wine! Me & my girls would definitely stay here again!
