Parking outside is an extra charge, the room was small and no equipment that we expected. No view of the lake, but a good look at the car park outside, or through trees to a big carpark. Noisy in the evening, and an inadequate fan.

Hi Maggie , Im not sure you have the right motel ..we do not charge for parking and, there is no lake close to us so you certainly wont see one i'm not sure why you would think you would ?I can see you did stay with us but i am wondering if you are reviewing the right place ?thanks karen

The lady who checked us in was helpful and welcoming. The room was very small. Visually it appeared clean but there was a strong urinal-like smell throughout that made our stay very uncomfortable. We had to leave all windows open and the fan working but still couldn't sleep with the strong smell.

Was a very nice place for one night stay to see Glaciers. Karen, the manager of the hotel, was amazing and gave us some great tips to see the glaciers and suggestions on restaurants.

Fox glacier is a sleepy town. If you want to stay more than 1 night, I would recommend Franz Joseph instead. The property is convenient and the woman who checked us in extremely nice and helpful. The bed was decent, but had a lump in the middle. Bathroom was large and very clean.

Central in Fox - and handy to everything - great place to stay. Everything is close - and staff were helpful; always willing to offer ideas and go the second mile.
