If you get the Foster room you are 5 feet from a road and the windows aren’t insulated. I left at 8:30 pm and went to a hotel and just paid twice.

I loved the historic nature of this property. I was traveling with my 20 year old daughter and didn’t really feel safe there. There were no employees on site. The home had 6 (?) rooms that were all keypad accessible. We were the only guests in the home. It felt weird. It would have also felt weird had there been people there without a staff. Maybe that’s just me. The room was lovely, nicely decorated and had everything we needed except for the following: one window didn’t have proper drapery which allowed our room to be viewed from the outside. This also allowed for very bright lights from the building across the street into our room. As another guest previously said, no control of the A/C and I found it to be too warm for me. I would have also preferred to have a separate bolt or chain lock independent of the keypad. Another concern I had was the lack of means to egress the building (in case of fire). There was only a front door. No other door was accessible to us and we were on the second floor.
Some pluses! The common area was very nice with free snacks made available as well as a keurig coffee maker. This location may be a bit more fun if you’re traveling with more people and if they can fix some of my concerns.

Loved learning the history of the hotel. Quaint and quiet. Super clean and loved access to all the amenities. Cant wait to return. We had no issues with check in at all. Great communication!

A very good choice
Posted 10 Apr 2024 on HotelsA gorgeous historical building. The rooms feature the necessary modern amenities. The facility is "self service" in that there is no front desk and "check in" is by receiving entry codes to the front door and one's room. My room faced a busy street but street noise does not bother me, but it might some one else. Being an old building, there is nothing of sound-proofing between rooms so I got to hear the sounds of other guests. Parking on site. Very close restaurant choices, ranging from fast food to fine dining.
