This is based on the fact that it is in Ft Mac but the hotel is more like a poorly run condo air bnb. First overall look was that it wants to be a hotel but the furniture was damaged and disorganized with a layer of construction dust on everything as they complete renovations. Nice kitchenette but 2 bowls and 2 cups aren't doing me any good with nothing to cook on and no coffee filters for the machine. It was freezing in the suite and I walked to the front desk for an extra blanket as I could not change the thermostat from A/C to heat. The woman said she would "call the room phone" but there is no phone in the room. She did come up to the room with a thin sheet as my blanket because she could not find anything else. It was for a smaller bed and didn't help. After 2 nights I returned to the front desk to request the room be tidied because they only provided 2 face cloths and the garbage needed to be taken out. The woman at the desk informed me that they only clean after 3 nights .. that just did not make sense to me as they did not provide enough towels and space to allow a 3 night stay without replenishing supplies. I didn't need the floor mopped or the bed made, just some darn towels and a larger garbage bin. The amenities are non existent. Overall, I just could not stay there for another night and left early even though I ended up paying for the full time booked. I can't fault them for charging me but I was just so uncomfortable that I had to go home.

The room did not have clean furniture in it, the furniture was incredibly worn and tattered. The bathroom had broken tiles, falling off the walls. The repairs on the ceilings and walls were terrible. It felt like I was staying in a low end apartment. Not having a breakfast but instead a "bagged" breakfast was sub-par. We have frequented this hotel consistently for years but will be looking for other options in the future.

The staff are the greatest, they make my stay so easy,2nd time Ive stayed there. I'll go back in a minute

There were signs stating the hotel had bugs (not bed bugs) and that this was normal because they were surrounded by a forest. I've stayed at other hotels in Ft Mac this is not the case. There were bugs in my shower and even in my bed when i pulled back the covers. Also only one plug in worked so it was lamp or laptop. Will not stay again.

Pick my son up 4-5 times a year and always stay overnight till my flight home. Always happy with the service, room and value for the money. Back in a few months :)

The fridge was sketchy - did not work at first, then was very noisy when it did work. I had to shut it off to get some sleep. Staff did send maintenance in. On my return to the room, I was surprised to see 2 fridges - the original one and another one on the floor beneath it. I still had to shut off the existing one to get some sleep. I have to wonder why they didn't take the noisy one away... I didn't return to the room until 11 pm, & they knew I was checking out in the morning. Made me feel like they were in the midst of making things right for the next guest, not for me.

Construction

First off I never got the room in booked. I asked for 2, queens only got one queen but since I was solo was not a big deal. We were never informed of the construction. There was construction right above my room until 11pm. I had to work early so this was less than ideal. I ended up calling the desk to tell them to stop but they didn’t stop until 11pm. I was not super impressed. I get you have to do construction but it should stop at a certain time and should be informed ahead of time.
