The property is being remodeled. Got a great upgrade because of that, suspect it will be very nice by next season. Internet was spotty first night and nonexistent second night. Possibly due to construction??

Not sure what was going on during the stay of other recent reviewers, but this place was completely fine. Yes, there is construction going on, but only during 8-6 when you should, frankly, be out and hiking by anyway.
The place itself was clean, and having a kitchen, two rooms, and a pullout bed was way more than we were expecting.
I’d say the price was very good for what was essentially a suite. I’d definitely come back

It would be good to inform people ahead of check-in that construction is going on, so they won't be surprised.

Location relatively near the rain forest is the only thing going for it. Had there been anywhere else to stay, I would strongly recommend that this place be avoided.

They are remodeling the facility. That was loud at times and made parking difficult. It will be nice when its finished. It was nice having a kitchen but there were not any pots and pans to use.

Absolutely never again. Why in the world they would stay open with a full construction site going on is beyond me. When we checked the front desk lady didn’t even mention the construction or apologize or offer any discount. We had to ask the construction worker how to get to our room safely and had to navigate our way through all their gear. There was a guy spraying paint inches from our heads as we were going upstairs. Our garden view that I paid extra for would have been nice if there weren’t all the windows that they recently removed and the left over balcony the just tore down. I booked this hotel months ago and they just started construction 3 wks before we checked in. They never warned us this would be happening and they aren’t cheap. They would give no refund.

Very old property. For the price, I would have expected much better. The bed was comfortable and the water was hot but thats about it. The onsite renovations did not bother us but we did not feel very safe here.
