You have to pick up the key from a hotel that’s about a half mile away. The place was extremely dusty and my wife had an allergic reaction to the bedding. There was what appeared to be blood on the wall in the bedroom, some of the lights don’t work and the “king bed” is two twin mattresses. The wooden slats the bed sits on had multiple broken or missing slats, causing the bed to sink. The location is wonderful, and you can tell they don’t care that much because of the prime location. They also wanted us to walk the keys back a half mile to the hotel.

Walk up the stairs to top floor was strenuous, especially after a day of walking the city, making it inconvenient to pop back to the room. Check in was smooth and Manuel kindly waited when we got lost (caution-there is more than one “Palazzo Medici Apartments” in Florence). It took us a couple of days to realize the AC is adjusted by controller that looks like a TV remote. Prior to that, mosquitos are us up. We ran out of TP. Shower was small (like all of Europe I’m sure) but water pressure was great. Other than that it was a good place to stay.

The apartment was just like in the photos and was very clean. My only wish is for the floor level to be disclosed along with each apartment.

The location is good. But it’s a 5 floor walk up, the apartment is quite cramped, the kettle couldn’t be plugged in in the kitchen, the shower head was broken, bizarre key system where u have to insert a key into a wall to turn on the power, and only one key given to us, so u cannot charge electronics when out of the apartment. The management made checkin a pain, and we’re completely unresponsive thereafter.
