When we first checked in the rep seemed unfriendly towards us. We asked to be placed in upper floor, was adamant to tell us that our request was not possible. He just wasn’t too helpful. Then we noticed when a family who spoke their language came , the rep demeanor was completely different from us. He was laughing with them and joking. Very obvious to us the front office person didn’t particularly like us Americans. Once we walked in to our room, we were feeling uncomfortable knowing the room felt to us like a dungeon . NO clear view of something comforting, but the front street and the side covered in bushes. We asked to move a different room, was told nothing was available. We were stocked in the worse room in the building infested in mosquitos. Our son was covered in mosquitos bites 🙉🙉🙉 Breakfast was mediocre. We had so much better experienced in Rome. Hotel staff went above and beyond to welcome us when we arrived. Always gave us tips where to eat and other suggestions they wanted to share. We were regretful to stay in this hotel. We made sure to tell all our friends and families who have plan to visit Firenze not to booked this hotel.

I wouldn’t call it a 4 star hotel. Brunch wasn’t great and the staff wasn’t very kind or helpful. Fine for a cheap stay but I wouldn’t stay again if I came back to Florence.

I’ve been traveling in Italy for a month now and this hotel is by far the top of the line for me. It has been the best experience I’ve had if you’re in Florence this is the place to stay. I write this a 50 out of 10. Thank you so much for the great hospitality and your breakfast is just amazing

The room 5 was assigned to me, situated on the ground was really nice. The staff were friendly. The street and surrounding area were grungy and dark. Won’t recommend this hotel to a lone female traveler.

My wife and I had been there a couple of years ago and we knew what to expect. You're not disappointed with the staff or the room we were staying in, or breakfast. It is a 5-6 Minutes walk to the Florence train station Santa Maria novella.

It was exaclty what we wanted to stay at. Small, quaint, calm, 4 min from the train station so we didn't have to move the luggage far, and only 15 min walk from everypart of the old town.

Nice old world hotel with things you don't see anymore like robes and slippers in the room and room service. Its walkable to sights if you're in reasonably good shape. The hop on hop off bus stop is right around the corner.

Liked the stay so much we stayed an extra night! Beautiful linens, nice open air balcony, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. We booked this as it would be a late night arrival by train.
