Nice hotel no food nearby

Pure luxury in a beautiful setting
Posted 30 Aug 2019 on HotelsBeautiful location and room. Very comfortable and every little touch has been considered. The hotel is stunning and immaculate. We stayed one night to break up a journey to the south coast, but would have loved to stay longer. The restaurant was fully booked when we arrived, but the staff booked us into a restaurant in the centre of Flammerans which was very good. The only niggle was that we were not allowed to have our breakfast on the terrace because we had not pre-booked this and the table was already laid inside! It would have been easy to move the cutlery outside but pas possible! However, I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Lovely restored chateau near Dijon
Posted 26 Jun 2018 on HotelsBeautifully restored chateau and very friendly, helpful staff who did their best to make our stay a good one. The two things they could improve would be 1) to email in advance (a week before?) to ask if we wanted to eat in the restaurant. After 6hours of driving, we arrived to hear that the restaurant was full that evening (we only picked up messages from the hotel from earlier in the day when we arrived) and the last thing we wanted to do was drive to Auxonne for dinner. But Clement did book a table for us at Le Corbeau, which was excellent. And 2) to indicate where the bar is located in the chateau... it took us a while to realise that it was actually in the salon next to the restaurant.

Really relaxing place for a break

Lovely comfortable hotel
Posted 4 Apr 2018 on HotelsPleasantly surprised to get a late booking en route to the Alps. Food in the restaurant for dinner was excellent, though breakfast perhaps didn’t live up to the same high standard.
The staff were so friendly and helpful and the rooms lovely & comfortable, we felt so at home we hope to stay again on our way back home, thank you Chateau de Flammerans!

Lovely chateau, attractive and comfortable rooms.

Pros: Position, ambience, lovely grounds and great swimming pool.
Cons: Breakfast could be enhanced with a more imaginative offering.
We wished we could stay longer, would love to go back.

An extra night
Posted 8 Sep 2019 on HotelsWe booked another night for our stopover due to storm warning that could delay our planned arrival and we were kucky to secure the room for this extra night. We had booked table at the restaurant for dinner which was fantastic - complement to the chef.

Stopover at Flammerans
