Bob the inn keeper was kind welcoming and helpful. The property was immaculate and a great space. A 5 minute drive to downtown. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I have stayed at hundreds of hotels (especially all across NY state) in the past two years but our experience at Brinckerhoff was truly unique and special
The Inn is gorgeous and filled with such rich history. Bob, the owner, gave us a great tour upon arrival. There are numerous common areas to relax and hang out - including a huge outdoor area and a pool table.
In the morning, Bob made us a lovely breakfast on gold China plates. The menu was “anything you want” which we opted to make a royal choice for ourselves of eggs, toast, sausage, and hash browns.
I highly recommend this Inn for all visitors - especially couples looking for a cool getaway in a New York haven. If you have the option to get a upgraded room, DO IT. The tub is ENORMOUS!

The Inn is 300 years old and interior is very impressive. The owner Bob is super nice and accommodating.
We fell in love with our Marquees room. Highly recommend. It’s a hidden jam, this one.

The property was beautiful and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing (the home fries in particular was unbelievable), and Bob was a terrific host and guide, with good suggestions and helpful advice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property is lovely and historic, the furnishings in the room and throughout the hotel were all period pieces! It was exactly what a B&B should be! The breakfast was great! The location near numerous activities!

An historic oasis of tranquility
Posted 4 Nov 2019 on HotelsBob, the current owner, has had the place for around three years and spent half that time engaged in a labour of love renovating it. It’s a 300+ year old historic country house set in an idyllic location. We stayed for three nights to experience the fall and loved it. Bob was also helpful and knowledgeable about places to visit in the locality. Happy memories to take back to Hong Kong 🇭🇰 We had a bedroom on the first level with a great en suite and a super comfortable huge bed.

Expensive for what you get. They need better linens and pillows. A/C was marginal
