The view from the balcony was just stunning looking over the Caldera and could see the small isle of Therassa straight ahead with the beautiful sunset going down behind it without needing to go elsewhere! It was convenient for restaurants and activity without being overwhelmed with an excess of people which you can choose to do if you like in the next village of Fira just a 20 minute walk away.
