Great view of the beach and a nice town
Posted 8 Jun 2019 on HotelsWe had rooms looking out over the beach, which were just amazing. As we were there off-season (start of June), parking next to the hotel was easy. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Mildly disappointing that it didn't have coffee provided (even instant form). We paid for breakfast as the options outside the hotel weren't vast, but found breakfast was very good value, so we didn't mind. There are also a number of nice restaurants and bars nearby, which is something we weren't expecting.

The location to the beach and casino was convenient. Each room category is listed as having a balcony however our room did not have one.
The pool is an extra $15 Euro per person for 90 minute access.
The rooms could have been cleaner and the carpet in the hallways seemed old.
There was a kitchenette in our room with no wine opener. We asked for one at the bar and they made us bring our wine down to be opened.

Great location - directly across from the beach. Nice room layout with 2 balconies - great breezes from the ocean didn't have to turn on air conditioning.

Cons: lifts took a long time to reach our floor

The hotel is in a great location with fabulous views of the beach and Atlantic, especially from the high floors.The staff were very friendly and professional. I found the hotel to be very clean and modern with a good restaurant and I highly recommend the breakfast. All in all an excellent hotel.

Pros: Modern, clean, good facilities, good service, comfortable bed mattress.
Cons: We had breakfast in restaurant. Food was good but cost 10 Euros. Having food at the many local cafes was much cheaper and just as good.
Location: Recommend the cafe at the harbour, delicious toasted sandwiches. Be sure to try a Portuguese Tart! The local bullring is worth a visit!
Our stay started with very good service on arrival at reception. Foyer was modern and felt very welcoming. Room was very clean and good facilities. There was a separate living area with seating, table and chairs and small kitchen area with fridge and microwave oven. There was a large sliding door that allowed the bedroom to be separated from the living area. Separate air conditioning units in both bedroom and living area. Additional facilities included a safe in the wardrobe and a hairdryer.

This is NOT. A 4 star hotel. It is run down with poor staff service. I will not come back to it if ever in Figueira again

Posted 25 Jul 2018 on OrbitzWe stayed at the Sweet Atlantic and have absolutely no complaints! The room was clean and spacious. We were within walking distance to the beach and a bunch of great restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!
