GREAT HOTEL WITH FROSTY RECEPTION
Posted 10 Jun 2024 on HotelsWe stayed 3nights at the Parador de Ferrol to rest after a long flight from Australia before starting to walk the Camino Ingles. It was a good decision as Ferrol is an interesting town. The Parador de Ferrol is certainly a beautiful hotel, reasonably priced, very comfortable and just a short 7minute walk to the starting point of the Camino. We loved the view from our bedroom window. Although near docklands, the perfectly restored warehouses, customs and naval buildings along the river lent a certain majesty, more so at night with the twinkling lights. Very close to great cafes, bars and restaurants. Shame about the frosty nature of the staff at check in and throughout our stay. Maybe they just didn't enjoy working there or had all forgotten how to smile.
