A mini-break to Fehmarn will take you to the third-largest German island as well as to the second-largest city in Schleswig-Holstein. In the year 2003, the island communities unified into the city of Fehmarn. Burg is the largest town on the island with 6,000 inhabitants and represents the economic and cultural centre.
