"Luckily we arrived in daylight, as the road up to the Osteria zig-zagged in impossible hairpins up from the valley. It's possible that after dark and unlit we might just have turned around and headed for somewhere flat. However, if we had done we would have missed a completely unique experience. The hamlet of Anzonico clings to the side of an Alp and there is no vehicle access to the Osteria. Parking is in a lay by about 50 yards further up. "Parking is a NIGHTMARE and the staff was rude about helping us figure out parking. They should really have a link that clearly tells people there is NO PARKING at the hotel and where the parking lots are located. (We had to walk .8 of a mile with our luggage which was totally unacceptable for how much we paid per night! They should have at least told us we could drive up and drop our luggage.) The room was big, clean and had a great view. The coffee maker was nice, but instructions in English...
