"Our trip to the Maldives at Vakkaru was a dream come true. We were blessed with perfect weather and amazing experiences, like swimming with mantas, thanks to Sato's exceptional care. Breakfast was always a highlight, thanks to Azzam's warm welcome and guidance through the buffet. Meeting Ankita and Sajith added to our joy, with Sajith's incredible coffee art and cocktails. "Very unique experience. Snorkeling was excellent, even saw a whale shark while snorkeling. Scuba was luxury service and great marine life. Staff was great. Room was fantastic. Would recommend this property very highly."

"We had a lovely tranquil stay, feeling very well looked after by the friendly staff. The island is idyllic and the accommodation is comfortable with excellent Aircon and fan in the bedroom. "We spent a great time at Dhoani. Kendoo is wonderful. They assist us all our trip with what’s app. We have all information before and during the holiday and we never fell alone. Hotel is beautiful, very modern and have all things that one can need. We sleep so well. Breakfast is varied. Hope to back again in this gorgeous island. "

"With intermittent strong monsoon rains and winds, the water came thru the doors in the common areas. We absolutely loved the food and staff and never thought twice about eating anywhere else. John, our host was absolutely the best! Kind, perceptive and always helpful. Admin was also incredibly responsive via email and ensured that all of our requests and inquiries were promptly addressed. "Прекрасно проведенное время. Весьма подходящее место для любителей снорклинга. Домашний риф великолепен, широкий, с кораллами на разных глубинах. Видели осьминогов, лангустов, дельфинов, разнообразных скатов, акул, мурен и рыбы без счета. Даже одна манта заплывала. К этому прилагается великолепный вкуснейший завтрак, спорткомплекс и дайвингцентр. Был еще катамаран, но для него требовались навыки участника проф.регаты, и одних нас сейлить не пустили. Два отдельных плюса. Точка кормежки мант в 20 мнутах - большая вероятнось их застать при небольшой стоимости экскурсии. Всюду (кроме спортзала) можно босиком, даже на ужин, вечерняя футболка, бабочка и голые пятки. Прим. В номерах и на пляже нет wifi."

"I was here previously, decided to come for a 20 day stay to recharge.. They really let the place go downhill in every way. I felt like I was doing a spotting job rather than having a vacation especially the first week.simple things like painting rusted things all over the island. Not clearing garbage that washes onto the beach, which I and other guests would put up high on the beach figuring they did a walk around daily. No, same garbage was not even noticed because the management doesn't care. I made my complaints and was told that some quality control expert was coming and they would have the island in shape by December. Lot of good that did me momentarily.it was things that were not even hard to do, simply there was no will. And it wasn't the staff, it's management..Actually had by chance the same room from years ago and saw the same issues not attended to. The food was also low quality, I avoided breakfast, out of 19 nights, maybe 5 breakfasts. Any juices put out we're heavy sugar and they spared every expense. Not a banana in sight the last 10 days of my stay.. I offered to gladly do a walk with the general manager and show him how to fix the place up in a matter of days with staff on hand. Didn't care.. then there is the smoking. Staff quarters are close and obviously no one is told to go to a further section of the small island to smoke. When you're out taking the air on a walk it's not pleasant to suck in a huge amount of smoke. Much more. Bye Dfaru. Disappointed "

"Royal Island is a paradise! This was our first time to the Maldives and didn't know what to expect. The service was top notch from the time we stepped foot on the island. Staff were available to check in all groups arriving on the boat at the same time, so there was no waiting. We were set up with a contact via WhatsApp (Mark) and he kept us up to date with what was going on at the island each day and was available to address all of our questions. The food at the buffet was good and each dinner had a different theme keeping it interesting. Our server Naseer was friendly and efficient. Finally the setting! The island is beautiful! The clearest water outside of a pool I have ever swam in. We were at the west end of the island and there was easy access to snorkelling in the lagoon. There is some damage to the reef, but we still saw so many fish, rays and a shark. We also enjoyed the Wanderlust and Hanifaru Bay snorkelling excursions. The transfers were well planned (don't panic about not having the details until the day before). And bonus, because we had a late departure they gave us late check-out without an extra charge. Overall a fabulous experience. Highly recommend."

"Wonderful stay, great grounds, staff attentive and eager to please. Beautiful OTV villa views on the sunset side of the island(other side would be problematic for me, sea wall presence). Overall wonderful experience!"
