The property was old and run down. There was damage all around the hotel in various capacities. Inside the atrium and pool area was dirty and lots of bugs. The room smelled musty, a/c was ineffective, needed a dehumidifier, toilet seat wouldn't stay up, toilet water tank ran all constantly. Between all 3 running constantly it was difficult to sleep with all the noise. I had a 2 night stay and left after the 1st night. Side door entry had a combination lock. I went in and out of that door 4 times and it was never closed or locked....even after I closed and locked it each time. Would love a refund for my 2nd night but the front desk closes at 9pm so I just left.

I was double billed on 2 reservations for the same room to Expedia and Booking The hotel was willing to refund 1 night of the three nights double booked They are inflexible and greedy

The room we had was really strange. There is no decor at all, no pictures on the walls, just feels very sterile and a little creepy feeling. The beds were not comfortable at all! Sagged in the middle. Not sure what kind of frogs there are outside but it was so loud inside the room at night it was almost comical. Not much to offer in the area but we were just in town for one night to take an Everglades tour.

The Ivey House was adorable and the staff so friendly and helpful. If I could change anything g it would be to make the ice machine available after the front desk closes. Thanks for the hospitality!! Lisa Burnett

We liked that it was more rustic and quiet. The staff was great. The beds we had were not the best. We would go there again.
