Beautiful location and well restored or maintained old mansion. It’s amazing that this mansion is over 100 years old and when you’re staying in it you realize this was once one man’s home back when the average man or woman lived in something much much smaller. The property was awesome the clawfoot bathtub the deep sink the interesting lighting in the bathroom I loved it.If you can stay here or stay at sea best Western or days in and it’s only 30 or $40 a night more to stay here it’s well worth it this is a beautiful location a beautiful home and it was great

Kicked out Christmas eve
Kicked out on Christmas eve because lisa said that we had been smoking inside our room, she said that the other guest who didn't exist at the time had been complaining of the smell yet anytime my boyfriend had to smoke he smoked across the street at his truck. She was rude and unwilling to hear is our. She kicked us out and we had no place to go. She told Hotels.com not to refund us. Definitely not very Christmas like. This was our 3rd satay with this hotel. She asked my boyfriend if this place was a good fit and she said that smokers who smoke on her property makes her reputation look bad.

As a solo traveler, this place was much more charming than an hotel, when traveling for a class at the community college. Pleasant neighborhood to walk in and close to amenities/food/shops.

Lovely views, quiet and comfortable
It’s a charming home hotel. Lots of character and lovely antique and period furnishing and decorations. Very comfy bed, lovely views over the water and quiet residential location. One small thing that I noticed is that wooden floors carry the sounds of people walking on them. Not a criticism, just a reality, carpets would hide the lovely wooden floors, yet people walking around (including me) the common areas could be heard.

Our stay at the Candlelight Mansion
The drive to the hotel was uneventful and no issues. The unattended front door was a little disconcerting but after we got past the initial confusion everything was fine. The room was great, clean and comfortable, having the washroom facility on the other side of the hotel was strange but as there was no one else there it was fine. The TV didn't work properly, only Netflix worked and then proceeded to freeze so could use the TV at all. The price was not very good, after all the add ons were included the cost was over $200 CDN. The web site prices were much lower. Would not stay here again.

This place is amazing! I stayed in the Ocean room for a week, and it was amazing! Beautiful view of the Sound, beautiful room- luxury linens and the bed was so comfortable. The bathroom felt very luxurious w/ the heated marble floors. Quiet and private but within minutes to all my destinations. The owners have done a wonderful job w/ this property.

Lovely old house. The bathtub is quite deep so it’s difficult to get in and out. We have a room with a private bath across the hall. Didn’t like the lack of privacy. The rooms are spacious. The common area is large and very pretty.

Well the property lovely ! But advertised price very deceiving . 99.00 and then billed 90.89 for taxes and service ! Not good business I have been in travel business for 23 years and never expierenced that. Should add cleaning to rate so your charged room plus tax .still not very pleased with how we were charged .
