Blood and vomit on the bed. Bathroom was freezing and the room was so hot. Please don’t stay here.

If you do not have a car this property is located a ways from town although walkable if you are in pretty good shape. 1.1 miles there is easy but back before dark can be challenging. Loved my econ stay! Spectacular views all ways. Bed was very comfy and bathroom vanity and shower heads appeared new, Hot and pressure. Folks were really nice around there. Breakfast was convenient and good.

I come to Estes quite often & usually stay at the same two places, on this trip 12/27-12/29 we decided to stay at the Blue Door. Upon coming in there was a very thick sheet of ice in front of the stairs leading up to our room. No ice anywhere to be found anywhere on the property or Estes for that matter. You would think a property in the mountains in the winter time would have de-icer salt on hand. We booked the “premium suite” and upon entering was grateful we booked a premium room as I couldn’t fathom what the regular rooms looked like as ours was completely outdated and in dire need of some TLC! I literally found a dog turd in plain sight next to the couch & blood on the tile next to the tub. The property itself is completely covered in dog feces. No dog poo bags anywhere for guests to clean up after their pets. In the middle of the night another guest was banging on our door and trying to get in. My husband answered and the guy was clearly drunk and had no idea which room was his. The whole stay I felt unsafe and couldn’t wait to leave! Never again!

We regret that you did not bring these issues to our attention during your stay, as we would have been happy to address them immediately or offer an alternative room. While we have received many positive reviews from guests about their premium room experiences, we are disappointed to hear we fell short for you.As for the ice, we do have an ice machine on the property, and its location is included in the property map available in your room. If there was any confusion, our front desk team would have been happy to assist you. Regarding the snow and ice on the stairs, we clear the hallways and staircases daily during snowy weather. However, heavy snowfall can sometimes make it challenging to maintain perfectly clear walkways at all times.For pet-related concerns, we typically find that guests traveling with pets bring their own supplies, and as such, we do not provide dog waste bags. That said, we will take your feedback into consideration to better accommodate pet owners in the future.Lastly, regarding the door-banging incident at night, we are sorry to hear you felt unsafe. Definitely recomend. One of the cleanest place, quiet and super close to downtown. Also we got to see the Estes Park Elk herd. The only BUT i can give this place would be the breakfast( its a grab and go ) not a verity of food.

Used to be very nice but under different owners and going downhill fast. We will not stay there again.
