Lovely location, very friendly staff, beautiful room! I had a quiet room overlooking the vineyards. There are also rooms overlooking the river, but they get afternoon sun on the balconies and you may get some street noise. The dinner and breakfast was lovely! They can reserve your favorite table. Lots of parking. Right next to bike trail- easy ride to Cochem! Super relaxing. They also have a nice looking spa area, i didn't use it though. Very good Riesling wine.

Rigjht on the Mosel with non of the tourist trappings of Cochem. Room was large, modern, with a great view from the balcony. Much better than the three star rating.

The hotel was nicely renovated, with comfortable rooms, free parking, good WiFi, excellent included German breakfast and reasonably priced and very good dinners. The hotel is located in a beautiful, quiet area across the street from the Moselle in a valley covered in grape vines. Just 5 or 6 minutes down the road is the picturesque village of Cochem, with dozens of shops of all kinds and a rebuilt castle with a fun tour. We could not have been more pleased with this wonderful find. Highly recommended. Ask for a room with a balcony in the back overlooking the vineyards. We didn’t take a day cruise down the Moselle, but it looked fun. You can also walk along a path next to the river which is lined with chestnut, walnut, plum and apple trees and see the swans. Renting bikes would be fun too. Oh, and there’s wine!

Close to Cochem but still very quiet. The staff was very helpful and the bed was comfortable. However, no access to a fan or A/C made the room very hot.

Critical mass for a get-away in Mosel Wine Country

Posted 30 Jul 2018 on Hotels
This is a gem of a venue. Great staff, dedicated management, and an owner that works the kitchen and restaurant. Excellent local wines and a nice course menu discounted for repeat guests. The location has a scenic view of the Mosel River and surrounding vineyards. It's quiet, and the outdoor terrace is well used for cocktails and after dinner relaxation. The hotel is a one hour drive to Germany's oldest city, Tier. Ten minutes from Cochem, and its picturesque Cochem castle, and an hour drive from the beautiful Berg Eltz. We enjoyed visiting these local treasures. (Parking is free at the hotel.) Caveats: bring your shampoo, our room didn't have a refrigerator nor a bath. (The shower was enough for the weekend, and there is a Spa on the ground floor of the hotel.)

Great hotel in lovely town in Germany!

Location: Castles and castles, vineyards, lovely walks along the river.
I would consider Filla Andre a Bed and Breakfast because of its small town character and attention to detail. Breakfast was very good and having coffee on our balcony over looking the Moselle river was a definite highlight.

Pleasant Mosel riverside hotel

Nice hotel in village near Cochem. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Traditional food was very good with super local wines and spirits. Only drawbacks are lack of air conditioning and roadside location. In hindsight a room away from the river would have been a quieter choice. Rooms are a decent size with showers. If you have time don’t miss the new farming museum in the village.
