This was a last minute reservation but alot of regret and no discount offered. It was snowing and nobody could park 2 feet or more in all parking lots could not even drive up to front doors. Nothing plowed and no walkways shoveled. Feel multiple times. Slushy corridor. But not the employees problem they just work there. Not a place to stay if snowing. Only for emergency stays.

While we completely understand your frustrations regarding your experience, it does not accurately reflect our property in terms of customer service or cleanliness; it is more so about the weather conditions this past weekend which the hotel does not have control over. As you know Erie, and the Great Lakes region experienced record-breaking snowfall within 36 hours, highways were shut down, and numerous roads quickly became inaccessible. The snowplows throughout the city were working hard to clear roads, and businesses, but unfortunately that does take time. I can assure you the hotel staff was determined to still deliver a quality experience for all guests during the storm, which we pride ourselves on. Again, while we share your sentiments about the difficulties the snow raised for us, I would like to encourage an edit of your review, so it accurately depicts your stay and the experience you had with the staff and your room as each review does affect the hotel and staff directly. Unpleasant staff, rooms dirty!

Bob, while we do appreciate feedback on our guests' stay at the Red Rood Plus & Suites, I am disappointed that you have given us 1/5 review three months after your original stay. To clarify the situation, I wanted to reiterate that even though your claims of the hotel room being dirty were found to be false the hotel still granted you a 50% discount for the perceived inconvenience. You were informed of this refund when you spoke to management the next morning. Also, before you arrived back to property to speak with management the rooms were inspected to verify the "dirty" claims. Both beds had been used, as well as the toilet which made your original claims completely unverifiable. When this was discussed with you at the front desk, you claimed management was not being truthful, but to show good faith we granted a large refund, which is typically against protocol since, again, there was no evidence of your claims. I find it disheartening that after the discount and the conversation at the property there would be a negative comment about the hotel that does not accurately represent your stay or the hotel staff. I hope in the future you are able to find lodging somewhere else that better suites your needs the next time you are in Erie. Have a wonderful day.

Heidi, it is unfortunate that you felt you had a negative experience with us. However, you stayed with us four months ago, so I am curious as to why you felt to leave this review now as it does not reflect the current state of the hotel, nor is it an accurate representation of your experience. Also, during your stay nor immediately after your stay, there were no complaints or issues raised. Also, this review does not have any tangible complaints either, so I am curious as to what truly went wrong during your stay. Nonetheless, I hope you are able to find other accommodations the next time you are in Erie. Have a wonderful day.

Room and hotel property were very clean. The front desk staff was friendly and checked in with us to make sure everything was good with the room. Motel and parking lot were well-lit after dark. Because of the urban location in the downtown area, there was a considerable amount of outside noise including multiple emergency sirens and Amtrak trains routinely passing by throughout the night. This is obviously out of the motel’s control.
