Its an old country house, with lots of character and interesting antiques and wall hangings. The rooms are of course old, and the furniture is to say the least well used, as are the fixtures and fittings in the rooms and bathroom. Nothing was not working, so functionally it was well maintained. For us, the carpet, curtains and fittings would be improved by a thorough cleaning, but that is not to say it was dirty.
Apart from the marina, the view of the lake was beautiful, but we were dissappointed we could not walk further around the lake.
Service at breakfast was excellent, though the choice of cereals was limited. Fine for an overnight stay, but probably not longer unless you are into boating.

My family really enjoyed our stay. The evening meal was excellent and good value. The room was lovely and very well presented. The breakfast in the morning was perfect and the service excellent. The owner was really welcoming and the whole place had a great feel to it. Definitely be back!
