Exceptionally memorable ...
Posted 26 Mar 2020 on HotelsIncredible place. We were looked after very well by all staff. We had a fantastic stay. Food is lovely. It's just a chill out place ... one with nature. A must visit when you are travelling to or/and from Kruger National Park. All being well, we shall return.

Amazing, peaceful stay

Every detail was thought of, they were so accommodating and the entire staff was very kind. We left on my birthday, and they went above and beyond to make it a very special day. Thank you Saragossa for the wonderful time! It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Saragossa is a beautiful location and Anna, Hugo and the team did everything in their power to make us feel welcome. Excellent home produced food beautifully prepared

Posted 27 Dec 2017Don’t expect to see giraffes and my major gripe is the pool is in really poor condition and dirty which is a shame as it in a beautiful setting
The food is nice but has extremely limited choice

Dear Martin,
we are very sorry that we could not satisfy you and fullfill all your expactations.
We always try our best to cater for all our guests needs. After you have booked a double room for 2 guests only we put a lot of effort in to make your stay possible and also to accomodate your two additional children you have arrived with on 24.12.2017 (although your kids were ages under our children policy).
Further we tried to cater for another five people of your family arriving unexpected on Christmas day and we set up a private lunch for all of you at the Villa We are in a remote area and did our absolute best with limited resources to as festive for you and your family of nine in total.
Our Game Reserve has a size of 2000 ha and we cannot guarantee the game to be seen all the time. You have been on one game drive only and the wild animals move around freely on the entire reserve. Often our giraffes do come to the lodge directly to drink out of the dams as it happens on Christmas afternoon and all other guests enjoyd it a lot.
I spent a lot of time over the Christmas days myself with all the guests at the lodge and recognize you and your family enjoying the rpivate pool at the villa and the biog main pool at the lodge. If you would have mentioned any complains about the pool condition, we could have follwoed up immediately. I did not recognize any poor conditions and we do check water quality and cleaning conditions of the pools daily.
I take any critic of our guest very seriously and appreciate your feedback.

First night in ZA, wonderful hideaway, unfortunately we had booked one night only (planning error), we should have stayed 2, 3 or for ever. Seriously, I could very well imagine to stay for a week or two. Very nice personnel, friendly and helpful. The food was very delicious. But, if you need bars and clubs, definitely not the place to go!

Great place to start or end your holiday to Kruger
Posted 1 Mar 2018 on HotelsThe Saragossa Game reserve is a very beautiful and romantic small lodge situated in private game reserved. There's giraffes, hippos, ostriches, gnoe and many antilopes. We stayed in the lodge on our way towards the Kruger Park. It's only 2.5 hrs away from Johannesburg International Airport and the lodge is close to the Panorama route. We received an upgrade and stayed in a nice suite with a stunning view of the game garden. Unfortunately we stayed only one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. The surrounding was so peaceful and surreal. The staff was great, amazing service and the food was excellent. All fresh from their own farm on the estate. We will definitely book this lodge again on our next trip to South Africa. It's a great place to start or end your holiday on your way from or to the airport of Johannesburg.
