Great staff, food & location, terrible mattresses
Posted 9 Jun 2024 on HotelsMixed feelings about this traditional country hotel. Staff were amazing, friendly and efficient. Dinner was great, good quality, good menu. Breakfast that was included in the rate was generous, well cooked and reasonable quality for price. The rooms though!!!!!....very clean with spotless linen but are in need of some updating. Dingy, no pictures, no plug beside bed to charge phone, cold water tap on sink didn't work until suddenly came gushing out late morning, mirror light on the blink, couldn't get TV to work....but worst of all mattresses are terrible, soft and springey, terrible sleep. A few minor upgrades are all that are needed
