The location was ideal, right beside the train station! The room was very nice and the staff were great.

Filthy dirty outside the hotel. Difficult to check in with a car. Taxi drivers standing everywhere drinking and yelling. Hotel and locationnwere great. Outside the hotel was terrible, trash everywhere.

The hotel was comfortable and clean and right next door to the station which was great for us. It was about a 15-20 minute walk to the heart of the old town, but closer to the Mirabelle palace and gardens. There were two things wrong with this hotel, one which probably could not be helped. On our last morning the fire alarm went off at 7.35am and the hotel had to be evacuated. There was no explanation as to what the problem was and everyone was allowed back in after 5-10 minutes, but it disrupted everyone’s sleep/ getting up time. The biggest problem for me was that our room was boiling hot. We turned the thermostat down as low as it would go, but it made no difference. Eventually we resorted to leaving the window open throughout the day, and for part of the night ( even when it was freezing outside). And even that only brought the room down to acceptable levels. It never actually felt cool. I know it was the end of November, but it is not healthy or environmentally friendly to have a hotel which is heated to sauna levels. The heat apart, the hotel was exactly what we needed for a short visit to Salzburg and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys walking around.

The heater in the room is not working, so I need to use a small, very noisy portable heater to stay warm.

Right next to the Salzburg HBF. If possible get the odd number rooms so that you won’t face rail tracks and hear noises. Walkable to old town center. Room is small but clean. Only complaint is: dirty carpet
