"The hotel is quite basic but the location for me was excellent and there is plenty of convenient parking. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. The piece de resistance however, is the food here. The food is really excellent and I enjoyed the two dinners I ate here very much. There is a superb selection of freshly cooked food and a bar with good drinks to accompany. For this reason alone I would not hesitate to return to the hotel. "

"It's a unique place, not a traditional hotel. A very quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Nice to retreat from noise and get some time to relax. Rooms are cozy and nicely decorated, however they miss some practical details in the bathroom like hangers and a spot to place your own toiletries. "This is comfortable auberge with spacious rooms - a good place to explore the Normandy region. There was an issue with the dinner which I had paid for however didn't seem to show up in the booking. However the problem was very quickly resolved jointly by both Hotels.com and the the Auberge owner. I'm very satisfied with the promptness and the customer service of Hotels.com."

"Please note the town shuts down at 8 PM. They close the hotel and do NOT wait for you to check in. Fortunately a much nicer hotel was down by the actual beach and accommodated us. It worked out bc it was a far superior hotel and not much more money compared to the new Windsor. Stay somewhere else but def visit Etretat. "
