We had a wonderful stay at the El Candil hotel in Havana. The hotel is spotlessly clean, wonderfully decorated and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Reception and general help by Rosabel & Guiomar is priceless, backed up by Nestor at night, all brilliant guys. The rest of the staff are also lovely, helpful and attentive too. Roof top bar is serves great food and drinks, bar and food staff again - super. All in all we would thoroughly recommend the hotel as your Havana base. David & Alison from London

A wonderful stay in this beautiful spotless hotel. However what made it was the staff- so friendly, helpful and hospitable. From the moment we arrived with transfer from the airport to advice on beautiful restaurants, making reservations and providing advice on where to visit in the city. It was my birthday the day after we checked out however I arrived at breakfast to balloons and a cake on the table. Highly recommend this hotel

Our stay was almost perfect, the location in the middle of Vedado is great, the hotels itself has a special style and atmosphere from old days of Havana that transports you years in the past. The staff was helpful and accommodating (we asked for a late checkout). The room was clean and well decorated. The only issue was the lack of WiFi signal in our room, to get some signal we had to stick by the reception. If I can suggest anything, it would be to get a better coverage inside the hotel.

It is difficult to review after receiving service that was nothing short of friendly, attentive and extremely helpful, however, pushing a premium price of $170 per night for a room when not all amenities are available, is cheeky. The hotel could’ve lowered the price considering the advertised pool had no water in it and the wifi didn’t reach our room. The room was situated between an outdoor walkway, leaving very little room for privacy when the blinds were open. The furniture is beautiful and a statement piece but upon closer inspection, the finishes are quite cheap. The above made this stay extremely difficult to justify the price for value received. The team was incredible, so it’s really not the service that lacks but more the quality of the establishment.

I had an amazing stay at El Candil Boutique Hotel! The room was exceptionally spacious and spotless, offering a comfortable and luxurious feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making our entire stay even more enjoyable. The food and drinks were excellent, and the fact that they accept card payments made everything so convenient. I would highly recommend staying at this 5-star boutique hotel to anyone looking for a great experience!

It was a beautiful restored mansion. The main problem was the bed - it was absolutely awful. I struggled for 2 days to sleep properly. The staff, Yanexy and Rosabel found a way to make it more comfortable. The wifi was terrible here. They need to fix it. Otherwise everything else was lovely.
