Crooked. Had to pay extra tax of $85,000 pesos 1 night $85 dollars 4 nights. But I moved out of apartment after 10 plus years living in Medellín. If you paid in advance you don’t pay extra tax. Friend in hotel biz there told me I time payment. A bad guy in black suit held me and some luggage from going up to room I stayed 1 night. He wanted more tax money for the 4 nights I was to stay. He’s a liar and thief. Find another hotel. There plenty of good hotels in Medellín

The entrance can be missed very easily. There is no sign or easy way to tell that the entrance is to the hotel, unless you're a local or you have already been there. Other than that, the hotel is great. Super friendly and helpful staff, great quality breakfast, rooms are relatively quiet, and there is a grocery store right next door and a mall across the street.

Never again will I stay here, reception was terrible, Hidden Fees first day was 100 mil (25$) second day the fee increased to 400mil(102$) Asked why and Hendel O. the consieur got angry and very agressive, this man Hendel O. should not be in customer service. he threatened me and intemidated the women he works with. I decided to move to another hotel, there is no refund of your money, but my safety and enjoyment of vacation is important. This hotel was nice years ago but is no longer a place to stay, A thug at the reception desk is unacceptable. If you want to give Hendel more money everyday this is the place for you. beggars surround the hotel its a bit of a downer, thats medellin now, but the people that hate north americans such as hendel we do not have to tolerate. Avoid this hotel

This property location is everything!! It’s right next to two high end shopping centers/Malls and a supermarket. The staff at the hotel were wonderful and kind. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

In the era of modern hospitality, Estelar Apartamentos in Medellín serves as a stark reminder of how not to run an establishment. As one steps into the purported sanctuary they've chosen to call their temporary home, the absence of air conditioning hits with an oppressive warmth reminiscent of a summer's afternoon without reprieve. A week—that's how long it took for this essential amenity to be restored. One might wonder if they've time-traveled to an era where such conveniences were novelties. No hot water compounds the discomfort. It's a jarring realization in the morning when one expects a warm embrace but is greeted instead by an icy slap, stripping away any illusions of relaxation. Yet, the true masterclass in anxiety is presented by the patio door. Without a lock, it becomes a gateway to unwanted guests from neighboring apartments—a glaring oversight in an age where security should be paramount. The room's closet, ostensibly a space for guests to store their belongings, mirrors the dysfunction of the apartment—it’s broken. The lights, or lack thereof, punctuate the space with patches of darkness, serving as poetic metaphors for the management's attention to detail. Attempts to reach out for help are met with either a haunting silence on the phone or an empty front desk—a Houdini act that the staff seems to have perfected. Close to two popular shopping malls and a 24 hour grocery nearby. Free buffet breakfast daily but very limited lunch menu Monday to Friday. No room service from the restaurant which is not open for dinner. However there are a lot of restaurants nearby and also in the malls. Would definitely recommend staying there.
