Being in an old church, the architecture of the rooms and the common area is unique and the decor very thoughtful. Staff are great. Highly recommended.

We loved the historic aspect of the whole thing! The staff was excellent and the food both dinners and the breakfast .

Really interesting location, unfortunately heating was not connected but they did everything in there power to make sure the room was warm. If you do come to this town The Citern is a must see, especially first thing in the morning when the light is brilliant.

The hotel was amazing - nice and quiet tucked away out of the chaos of the town. Staff were great and the restaurant served amazing food. Our only complaint was on our way out of town - the hotel staff arranged a taxi to the train station (taxi driver was a friend of the gentleman working the main desk at the hotel). They both confirmed it was 20 dirham to the station however when we arrived it was apparently 20 dirham per person plus a baggage fee so he charged us 50 for the ride. Left a bad taste in our mouths - somewhat expected in Morocco however not from an establishment such as the L'Iglesia.

Great Location, Okay Value
Posted 10 Oct 2016 on HotelsThe hotel is in a historic building (wasn't actually in a church, as I expected, though I was able to visit the church). The room was beautifully styled, and the location amazing. However, the property has a bit of a corporate coldness to it unlike many of the places in Morocco where I've stayed. It also didn't feel like the best value (twice as expensive as other good options nearby).
