Perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking. Georgina was very friendly, attentive and we really appreciated all her advice on hikes and restaurants.

overcharged
Posted 23 Jan 2024 on HotelsIt showed a price of $743.79 when I booked, but I was actually charged $823.81 at check-in. They blamed it on the exchange rate, but this didn't happen with any of my other bookings in Argentina.

The price we show is the correct one. We do not charge any extra amount. We convert the usd tariff into ARS (local currency) to charge and make the credit card transaction. Then Visa, MC o AMEX apply their exchange rates. The hotel is not responsible for how credit cards or banks operate.

This was much greater than I could have asked for. Every service was top notch. I’d gladly stay at El Puma again!

Unhelpful staff for the high cost
Posted 15 Nov 2023 on HotelsThe hotel staff was extremely unhelpful and sometimes rude. The two women working the front desk seemed annoyed whenever we asked them simple questions.
They also charged us more than what we booked for. They said it was the law and that we’d get a refund on our credit card but it hasn’t worked like that at any other hotel in Argentina.
The hotel is clean / located in a good spot. After walking around El Chalten and seeing other hotels / hostels, I wish I had gone with a more affordable option because everything in town was pretty comparable in quality.

Fantastic place to stay
