Nice to visit, but wouldn't want to live there.
Posted 26 Sep 2023 on Hotels It was in some areas excellent, it was affordable, it was clean, it was a smoke-free area, has some amenities, but lacking in other areas, no TV in rooms or common area, bathroom wasn't conveniently located on same floor as my room, not much entertainment other than a room with a pool table, and a ping-pong table, snacks were exorbitantly priced, drinks were fair-priced. overall, it was okay.

Thanks for your comments. I'm glad you found the hostel clean & affordable, however, I regret we didn't meet your full expectations. We do have a TV room separate from our main common room. When all possible we assign rooms on the floor with the corresponding gender washroom, however, sometimes this isn't possible due to availability. Our snack machine is operated by a third-party, who sets pricing. We are located in Old Strathcona - the city's most popular neighbourhood for arts & entertainment. Greg, Manager
