Practically perfect, what I would expect from Sheraton and a bit more. Particular praise to the wonderful staff.

The only thing that was disappointing was that the breakfast menu was hanging on the door. I didn’t see it until I was leaving for the day. I was really looking forward to it, too. Tell the staff to put it on the desk with the dinner menu!

There is nothing hugely wrong with this hotel, it’s comfortable, clean and the staff (esp the concierge/porter) were great. The pool and spa are OK too. It’s just not quite the standard of furnishings/facilities and surroundings I would expect of a 5 star hotel costing £400 a night. I appreciate it is Edinburgh and August and prices are spectacularly hiked up but it just doesn’t compare to similarly priced hotels overseas.
